The 2013 Convention in Madison, Wisconsin was a huge success. Fabulous food, lectures, camaraderie, and best of all, a spectacular lilac display. Stay tuned for more photos and articles. Thanks to everyone from all 9 countries who attended the convention, and the staff at Nancy Botanic Garden who made this first European convention a memorable achievement.

Results of 2013 ILS “Lilac Popularity Poll”
During the 2013 ILS convention, a poll was taken to determine participants' favorite lilacs. The top five 2013 results are:- Syringa vulgaris 'Sweetheart'
- Syringa vulgaris 'Krasavitsa Moskvy' (Beauty of Moscow)
- Three-way tie for 3rd place
- Syringa vulgaris 'Congo'
- 'Syringa meyeri 'Palibin'
- Syringa x hyachinthiflora 'Maiden's Blush'
